Laverda RR1200SP

This motorcycle is a completely original, special construction vehicle based on a 1984 Laverda 1000cc three-cylinder motor. The chassis is a one off, developed for this project by Spondon Engineering of England. The bikes original design bodywork consists of a hand formed aluminum gas tank created by Jack Hagermann of Morgan Hill, CA. and a carbon fiber seat and fairing, designed and built by Lance Weil of Ricky racer Productions in Burbank.

The charter for the development of this motorcycle was to attempt to build a "modern" Laverda; something the Laverda factory may have been trying to build had they been able (at the time, they were not producing motorcycles). Toward this goal all the components selected were of the highest available quality and consist of what was currently in use on GP and World Super Bike racing motorcycles.
The bike was completed in 1995 and is licensed for street use.

Below is a detailed listing of the project components.
